Victoria Day in Niagara Falls

The first long weekend of the summer season just around the corner! The sun is shining, the shirt sleeves are shorter and you’re ready for Victoria Day in Niagara Falls .

Niagara Falls offers a ton of awesome activities to keep you active and entertained during the “May 2-4” long weekend. Since Nightmares Fear Factory is located at the top of Clifton Hill, right in the heart of Niagara Falls, and has affordable paid supervised parking, it makes a great starting point for your Niagara Falls Victoria Day adventure.

Things To Do In Niagara Falls on Victoria Day:

Nightmares Fear Factory

Nightmares is the scariest and most well-known haunted house attraction in Niagara Falls, if not the whole world. Built on the site of an old, haunted coffin factory, Nightmares leads you on a 15-minute walking tour through a pitch-black haunted house that is guaranteed to leave you screaming with fear. You may have heard of Nightmares from our hilarious Fear Pics & Videos which have been featured on The Tonight Show, Good Morning America, NBC's Today Show and many more.

Weinkeller

After you make your way through the Nightmares Fear Factory (or even if you chicken out) head next door for a delicious lunch and a glass of Weinkeller’s exclusive house-crafted wine. Weinkeller is one of the gems of the Niagara region, taking advantage of the many nearby farms to offer food made with fresh, local Ontario ingredients and a menu that changes seasonally. Their state-of-the-art wine service has six wines - three red and three white - crafted directly on site, and a selection of other wines and beers from Niagara and across Canada. The best part? Weinkeller has two beautiful patios that let you soak up the Victoria Day sun while you enjoy their food and drink.

Hornblower Cruises Niagara

No visit to Niagara is complete without an up-close and personal look at the Falls, and nothing gets you closer than Hornblower Niagara Cruises. After lunch, leave your vehicle parked by Nightmares, and head down to the base of Clifton Hill to the Hornblower Plaza to purchase your tickets. From there, hop on one of their ships for a 20-minute cruise to the very base of the majestic and powerful Horseshoe Falls. Warning - you’ll be well within range of the mist from the millions of litres of crashing water, so don’t forget your poncho!

Virgil Stampede

If you’ve got some leftover adrenaline from your tour through Nightmares, head north to the small community of Virgil for the 49th annual Virgil Stampede. Enjoy the small-town feel as you take part in pony rides, hop on the Ferris Wheel and other amusement rides, and munch on the multitude of carnival snacks and vendors. For some heavy-duty excitement, check out some awesome machines in action as they race against time and the elements in the Virgil Mud Bog!
