Santa Claus Parades in Niagara 2014
At Nightmares, we’ve been grieving over the end of Halloween season, but we think it’s about time we move on and acknowledge the next holiday… even if it is excessively cheerful.
In order to get into the holiday spirit, and encourage others too as well, we decided to compile a list of parades occurring across Niagara that will be celebrating the jolly old fella, Santa Claus.
Keep in mind the parades are all free admission, and open to all ages!
Niagara Falls Santa Claus Parade
To kick things off, Niagara Falls will host their Santa Clause Parade on November 15, 2014. The parade will begin at 11:00am, at Victoria Avenue at Armory Street, and continue on to Queen Street, ending at Erie Avenue.
Prior to the parade, there will be a pre-parade party, which begins at 10:45. The pre-party will feature The Niagara Regional Police, The Hit Men Brass Band and Project SHARE will be collecting food donations, to name a few.
This year’s parade will feature nine different marching bands, inflatables, stilt walkers, clowns, cheerleaders, mascots, and of course… the man himself, Santa Clause.
During the parade City Hall will also have activities such as free face painting and balloons caricatures, and will also be offering Tim Horton’s hot chocolate and Timbits.
Don’t forget to bring your letters to Santa, with a return address! Canada Post will be collecting them during the parade, to send to The North Pole.
Once the parade is finished there will be a meet and greet with Mr. Claus outside of City Hall. There will also be an Art Contest Awards at the Niagara Falls Library, happening at 2:00pm.
