Dead Zone

Filming of 'The Dead Zone' with Christopher Walken in the 1980's took place in Niagara-on-the-Lake.  They erected a gazebo for the movie and gifted it to the town when the movie finished filming.

The gazebo is located in Queens Royal Park off Ricardo Street along the Niagara River.  Queens Royal Park was orginally the site of the Queen's Royal Hotel built in 1868 and demolished in 1930.

Although a pretty park by day, it's haunted by night.  Many people have reported seeing a 'Woman in White' pacing up and down the path by the lake as if waiting for somebody or something.  Legend has it that the ghost of a women whose husband drowned when his boat capsized in the Niagara River and she's been waiting for him ever since.

The Niagara Region is a great place to go on haunted walk tours through graveyards, visit haunted B&B's or go directly to haunted attractions and houses.  If you love the paranormal, Niagara should be on your bucket list.
