Niagara Falls Illuminations
Of course the number one thing to do in Niagara Falls is to walk along the parkway take in the breathtaking American, Bridal Veil and Canadian Horseshoe Falls. Day or night the falls is breathtaking during the WinteUJH3r. At night the illuminations are always on changing and morphing the falls into a pallet of pastels. There’s still time to see fireworks for free every Friday night until January 29th, 2016.
Winter Festival of Lights Sound & Light Show
Check out the 3D sound and light show that tells the story of how Niagara came to be. The story plays out on the entire side of the Oakes Hotel. Shows run every hour 6/8/8/9pm until January 31st, 2016.
A 10-acre park containing small waterways and islands, Dufferin Islands is beautiful in the Winter time especially at night when all the Winter Festival of Lights displays are lit up, you have till the end of January to see! Dufferin Islands is natural oasis, home to many beautiful birds that remain during the winter season.
Niagara Falls History Museum
Every Thursday night from 5-9pm is free at the Niagara Falls History museum. They are currently offering a Winter Film series that starts at 7pm.
Live Music at Casino Niagara
Till February 27th, 2016 join Casino Niagara every Friday and Saturday at 9 pm- 1:30am for Live Music on the level 3 stage located near the Market restaurant.
Located within the urban boundary of Niagara Falls, Ontario Heartland Forest has easy access trails that are free admission. Explore the 93acres of significant Wetland and its Carolinaian forest. Heartland Forest often hosts great free events such as WinterFest happening on Family Day Monday February 5th from 11 am to 3:00pm. Stargazing February 13th 6pm - 10pm.
